Getting the best flyfishing blogs to come to the surface is a little easier than getting a nice brookie to come out from under a ledge and take your fly. But there are crowds of commercial sites to get past first, from fishing guides and lodges to equipment retailers. And some of the best sites, like the American Museum of Fly Fishing, don't have blogs.... When you find the real thing, it's like coming around the bend from a crowded stretch of bank to a quiet glade where it's just you and the fish.

Well there's one question anwered...there is someone with less of a life than AHW.
Where is Absolute Horsehit Guy wheen you need him.

Am I truly alone in thinking that this "Top 10 Fly Fishing Blogs" listing is providing a hugely (nay, critically) valuable service to fly fishing's online community?
In fact, more Top 10 lists (with results exactly like this one) are desperately needed.
Whoever performs this ranking is clearly a person of refinement and taste - someone deserving of our praise and not comdemnation...
That list is totally contrived. If all you got to do is post fresh and original prose, photos, insightful news and commentary on a daily basis to make the "Top 10" I don't want anything to do it.
Flytimes: We're worth checking once a month.
Excellent tagline. For the (now award-winning) Underground, I'm thinking about:
Trout Underground: Slightly better than that spreadsheet you're working on in your cramped, windowless cubicle.
Don't be so self deprecating, you fishers of nerds.
Ask yourselves, are you in this blogging racket merely for attention, or for your own personal satisfaction? You looking for hits, or is it something more? Yes, the list is baffling; I mean, AHW made #2 for fucks sake, but does that mean you need to pay this much attention to it?
Just keep on keepin' on.
I'm in it because it seemed like a good way to meet girls.
I'm not sure what in this world gave you that impression, but I really hope that's werkin' out just swell for ya.
More pictures, please.
I've got to be a little suspicious of the judgement of any list-maker who doesn't put MidCurrent in the top 5.
I've got to give them credit for coming up with a clever way to draw traffic, though. Nothing gets links from blogs like flattering the bloggers! I should try it. ;)
If they were after traffic, I'd suggest the joke is on them.
Putting MidCurrent and Moldy atop the list would have drawn 20x the visits he'll get from the anemic AHW and Underground readerships...
